Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrives in Namangan

On May 2, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Namangan region to get acquainted with construction and landscaping activities, the progress of the ongoing reforms, major projects at places, as well as for conducting a dialogue with people.
Namangan is one of the regions of Uzbekistan with high economic potential, rich history and culture. In recent years, socio-economic life, the appearance of cities and villages of the region are changing more and more, the level and quality of life of the population is growing.
Thus, in January-March of this year the region produced regional gross output of 2 trillion 121 billion 300 million soums, an increase amounted to 4.4 percent compared to the same period of the last year. The share of the gross regional product per capita amounted to 748.5 thousand soums, this figure increased by 2.2 percent compared to the previous year.
According to the development programs of the region, 107 projects have been implemented in the spheres of industry, agriculture and provision of services, which allowed creating thousands of new jobs.
During the last trip to Namangan in 2017, Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave corresponding instructions on continuing construction and landscaping activities in the region, accelerated development of tourism, industry, agriculture, services, creation of decent living conditions for the population. A large-scale activity was carried out in execution of these instructions. New industrial enterprises, business entities have been organized, production and exports have increased, modern housing and infrastructure have been built.
Practical implementation of activities in the region, ongoing projects and assigned tasks is under constant control of the Head of the state. During the current trip, the President will get acquainted with new projects, meet with entrepreneurs and investors, representatives of public. Further important tasks on socio-economic development of the region will be determined.
