The international exhibitions Healthcare – TIHE 2015, Pharmaceutical industry – AptekaExpo Central Asia 2015 and Stomatology – Stomatology Uzbekistan 2015 opened in the Uzexpocenter pavilions.

The event was organized in cooperation with the ministries of health, foreign economic relations, investments and trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chamber of Commerce, the state joint-stock company Uzfarmsanoat, LLC Uztibtexnika, Association of dentists and the International exhibition company ITE Uzbekistan".

The Minister of Healthcare of Uzbekistan A. Alimov and others noted that the formation of our modern medical system and equipping the spheres with modern equipment and technologies is an important factor in promoting the health of the population.

As a result of activities conducted under the leadership of President Islam Karimov, all sectors of the population covered by qualified health services. Screening centres, maternity complexes, regional general hospitals, specialized medical institutions operating in our country ensure the protection of public health.

In 2014, 133 medical institutions were constructed and reconstructed. In particular, regional Oncology centre in Gulistan, the Republican specialized scientific and practical centre of Pediatrics in Tashkent, Andijan regional diversified medical centre and TB dispensary in Nukus. A modern multidisciplinary children's medical centre, which will be equipped with high-tech medical equipment is being built together with the Republic of Korea.

Almost one hundred and sixty companies and organizations from twenty countries demonstrate their products and services at the exhibitions, in particular from Uzbekistan, USA, China, France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Belarus, Finland, Belgium, South Korea, India, Netherlands, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Switzerland. Among them – dozens of leading global companies for the production and delivery of medical equipment, such as Toshiba, Philips, Samsung Medison, GE Healthcare, Draeger, Carefusion, Chison.

The exhibition covers a wide range of modern medical technologies, ultrasonic and x-ray machines, physiotherapy and cardiology, dental, surgical equipment, the latest technology in implantology, as well as equipment for diagnostics, laboratories, disinfection, sanitation and hygiene, rehabilitation, exercise equipment, medical clothing, orthopedic products, medical furniture, medicines, equipment for pharmacies, packaging products and skin care products.

In the section of Medical Tourism organized in the framework of the exhibitions, medical institutions of Health and Travel (Uzbekistan), University Medical Center Freiburg (Germany), Acibadem Hospitals Group (Turkey) and others are offering health services.

Especially, many of the participants visit the stand of the company Nobel Pharmsanoat – one of the leading institutions for the production of medicines.

Dentistry is actively developing in Uzbekistan along with other areas of medicine. Dental clinics are being equipped with modern medical equipment. Effective methods of treatment and diagnosis based on international experience are implemented in practice.

The presidential resolution on formation of the Tashkent state dental Institute from 22 July 2014 contributes to the quality of medical education in this direction and training of specialists.

The international exhibitions demonstrate the latest achievements of domestic and world health systems. This contributes to the further development of the pharmaceutical industry, dentistry, medical tourism, expansion of international cooperation in these spheres, as well as to attract foreign investment, the development and implementation of promising joint projects with foreign partners.

International seminars devoted to the problems of anesthesiology and ultrasound diagnostics, topical issues of dentistry will be held in the framework of the exhibitions.
