The general plan of Nukus, developed at the initiative of the President of our country for the period until 2035, includes large-scale creative projects aimed at socio-economic development of the city, improving the infrastructure and living conditions of the population. 

During the trip to the Republic of Karakalpakstan in January this year, the Head of our state got acquainted with the project of reconstruction of the street of Yernazar Olakuz, gave necessary recommendations on its further improvement. 

According to the plan, this central street will be expanded, which will create even more favorable conditions for traffic. Along the street, multi-storey residential buildings, trade and consumer facilities will be erected. 

At present, construction of 30 five-storey residential buildings is being completed here. Modern conditions are being created in these houses, apartments, which will be provided on the basis of preferential mortgage loans. The houses will be commissioned in 2018. Next year another 20 houses will be built along this street. 

Residential array of affordable housing is also being built on Abdambayeva street in the city of Nukus. 7 multi-storey houses, built in the current year, will be handed over to the owners. 

A modern makhalla guzar, consumer services points, a beauty salon, a mini-bank, children's playgrounds will appear in the array. The adjacent territory will be landscaped. 

Taking into account the growing interest of the population in affordable housing, the Head of our state gave instruction on construction here of another 15 multi-storey houses next year. 

Presentation of the project, developed on the basis of instructions of the President of our country, which were given during the visit to Sergeli district of the capital, on creating a kindergarten and a family polyclinic on the 1st floors of multi-storey houses, was held. 

Shavkat Mirziyoyev drew attention to the advantages of these houses, emphasized the need to improve the project, create additional conditions for large families and elderly people. 

He also got acquainted with the creative and reconstruction activities carried out in Nukus branch of Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, the projects on construction of a new main educational building of Nukus State Pedagogical Institute named after Adjiniyaz, the production of soft cargo containers by “Dian-plast” LLC, gave corresponding instructions in this direction.
