The memorial complex named after Islam Karimov has been opened in Asaka

On the eve of the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of our country, the memorial complex named after the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the founder of the automobile industry of our country Islam Karimov has been opened in “GM Uzbekistan” joint-stock company, in Asaka.
The opening ceremony of the memorial, erected in accordance with the resolution of the Head of our state Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On perpetuating the memory of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Abduganiyevich Karimov” of January 25 of this year, was attended by heads of state and public organizations, “Uzavtosanoat” joint stock company and enterprises operating in its system, representatives of the general public, employees of JSC “GM Uzbekistan”.
It was noted that enormous creative work and large-scale reforms were carried out on development of the country, improving the spirituality, quality and standard of living of people under the leadership of the founder of independent Uzbekistan, an outstanding politician and statesman, the First President of our country Islam Karimov. It was emphasized with pride that the automobile industry was formed in our country, Uzbekistan entered the few countries in the world that produce cars at the initiative and under the leadership of the First President.
At present, over 10 thousand people are working at Asaka automobile plant, bearing the name of Islam Karimov. More than 2,7 million cars have been produced over the past period. The company’s products are exported to more than 10 countries.
