On 26th of August in “Registan Plaza” hotel the press conference devoted for XI international music festival “Shark taronalari” was held for local and foreign mass media representatives.

Press conference was held by the head of press centre S. Ostonov. 

The minister of culture B. Sayfullayev, vice-governor of Samarkand region A. Umarov, the governor of the city Samarkand F. Rakhimov, the head of directorate international musical festival “Shark taronalari” T. Kholikov, the head of scientific- theoretical conference on theme “Formation and development of national traditions in the musical cultures of the peoples of the East” and others gave information about the process of carrying out the XI festival, about the meeting process of participants and the cultural programs they are participating,       about scientific-theoretical conference.

It was stated that, the international music festival “Shark taronalari” became the most significant art festival; the number of participants are arising year by year. For instance, this year nearly 250 participants from 60 countries are participating.

On 25th of August, the participants and guests were met solemnly in Samarkand International Airport and Station. And today still guests are coming.

On 25th of August in the evening in Registan square the competence was started and representatives of 9 countries showed their programs. And other groups gave concerts in “Yoshlik” and “Sugdiona” parks, Samarkand pedagogical college’s amphitheatre.

Also, the participants of the festival visited historical places of Samarkand, educational and industrial establishments of the city.

On the 26th of August, within the framework of festival the conference on the theme “Formation and development of national traditions in the musical cultures of the peoples of the East” was begun. Musicologists and scientists of this sphere from more than 20 countries are participating in this conference.

During the press conference, the journalists were answered completely for all belonged questions.
