President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with projects on building materials production

President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a plant on coal briquette production under the joint-stock company “O’zbekiston temir yo’llari” in Pop district.
The energy industry of our country is consistently developing. Energy sources are being diversified. Measures are being taken on providing population and organizations with several types of energy.
A new coal industry enterprise was put into operation in Pop district with a project cost of 7 million dollars. 500 thousand tons of coal briquettes will be produced here each year. 160 new workplaces are created at the enterprise.
The President of our country examined the process of manufacturing briquettes, asked about the price and characteristics of products. Coal powder at the plant is processed on the basis of modern technology, enriched, purified from harmful gases and pressed into briquettes convenient for transportation. This type of product is relatively cheaper than traditional types of energy and can be delivered to remote areas.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the need for organizing distribution points in the regions of the country, delivering not only briquettes to the population, but also furnaces intended for their burning, and providing concessional loans for these purposes. The President gave recommendations on creation of such modern enterprises in other regions of the country.
Presentation of projects of the joint stock company “Uzkurilishmateriallari” was also held here. In 2017-2018, it is envisaged to invest 200 million dollars in the sphere of building materials production in Namangan region.
So much have not been allocated to this sphere in any other region of our country, said the head of our state. This is being done for providing population with a wide range of high-qualitative and inexpensive building materials, creating new workplaces. When there is a wide choice of building materials and prices for them are affordable, people will build more houses, new schools and hospitals, enterprises and roads will appear, and welfare of the population will increase even more.
Projects were presented on organization of production of cement, slate, asbestos pipes, concrete and semisynthetic lubricants in Pop district, cement in Kosonsoy and Yangikurgon districts, ceramic plates and sanitary ware in the city of Namangan, burnt bricks in Pop, Turakurgan, Uychin, Yangikurgan districts, as well as finishing stones in Chust district.
