In the “Turkiston” palace of the capital city Tashkent, a ceremony has been held for the winners and runners-up of the XII Oltin qalam (golden pencil) national award competition. 

Artists’ mastery is their ability to depict the landscape in all its splendour and to make viewers marvel at it. This is confirmed again at an exhibition entitled “Flight to skies - II. A portrayal of the native land and people”.

The "Youth spring” republican contest-festival of young opera singers has been conducted by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Kamolot public youth movement. This contest-festival was devoted to the Year of Dialogue with the People and Human Interests.
