A gathering of Andijon district electoral commission No 2 for the elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has taken place.

At the gathering, in accordance with Article 10 and Article 11 of the law “On elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, recommendations from town and district governorates and military unit commanders on forming electoral precincts were examined. 

It has been noted that special attention is being paid to conducting this important process in adherence to principles of equality, transparency and fairness as it is of significance to the country’s socio-political life. 

In this process, it is important to ensure that the solving of all the organizational-technical issues is brought to completion in a timely manner in order for election campaign events to be conducted at a high level. 

“On the basis of recommendations on forming electoral precincts, 773 electoral precincts have been formed within the territory of the district. A list specifying these electoral precincts’ sequential numbers, boundaries and addresses has been approved. Necessary recommendations have been given on providing state registration numbers, furniture and modern information communication technologies for the electoral precincts that have been formed and on supplying noticeboards for shedding light on the work of precinct electoral commissions,” says the chairman of Andijon district electoral commission No 2, O.Mirzayev. 

At a briefing held for representatives of mass media, detailed information was given about work being done in a coordinated fashion on preparations for the elections.
