2021-10-08 | Society
The President of Uzbekistan visited the Yangi Hayot mahalla in Gulistan.
14 high-rise buildings were built here in 2019-2020. Today the construction of 7 more nine-storey buildings with 504 apartments has begun, 100 of which will be provided to low-income families on preferential terms. A youth labor center, a stadium and playgrounds will also be built.
The President noted the importance of expanding services in the new neighborhood, organizing enterprises and providing employment for residents.
“The main factors in reducing poverty are the availability of housing and employment”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. – Great opportunities are provided for these purposes. We announced that starting this year there will be no shortages or restrictions on financial resources for mortgage lending. Many homes can be built with the participation of entrepreneurs.
A sincere conversation took place here with representatives of the older generation.
“Once Syrdarya region specialized only in agriculture. In recent years, modern industry has come. Such houses are being built. Why? People have purchasing power. Now we must keep up the pace. Because our youth is growing up, people’s needs are growing. Our state must create the appropriate conditions”, the President said.
The elders expressed their views on the changes taking place in the region, on the upbringing of young people.
