The President visits Urgench Technopark

Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the Technopark organized in the city of Urgench.
Small industrial zones and technology parks are being established across Uzbekistan, in every town and district, in order to stimulate growth points in the regions, deliver encouraging conditions for entrepreneurs.
The Urgench Technopark was commissioned in May this year. Soon, two enterprises started operating here, Oq Oltin Mega Tekstil for the manufacture of clothes and Great Khorezm for the production of various metal goods.
The President examined the produce of the textile enterprise.
Sewing equipment from Germany, Italy and Turkey is installed here. The venture produces over 100 items of clothing for children and adults, including denim outfits. 75 percent of goods are exported.
The enterprise employs 400 women from Urgench and Khiva cities, as well as Yangiarik, Khanka and Urgench districts. The head of our state talked to the working personnel.
“I am really glad to meet with you, to see that you have an occupation, busy with the job you love. We spare no effort to provide jobs for people, especially women and youth. This is the purpose of my trip to Khorezm, too,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev suggested.
The President stressed the importance of employing women also through homework.
Equipment is being delivered to the remaining blocks of the Technopark. It is expected that after reaching full capacity, the complex will produce goods for about 87 billion soums and export for 5.8 million dollars a year.
The head of our state also considered projects to improve infrastructure, develop tourism and entrepreneurship, provide employment, reduce poverty on the example of the city of Khiva and Gurlan district.
