2020-06-18 | Tourism

A working group headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the State Committee for tourism development Aziz Abdukhakimov visited the "Djeyran" reserve  in the Bukhara region and checked the object’s  readiness for the tourist season.

"The head of our state pays great attention to the development of domestic tourism, and at yesterday's meeting a number of instructions were given on the development of tourism, including ecotourism. Together with experts from the State Committee for tourism development and the State Committee for ecology and environmental protection, we visited the "Djeyran" reserve and studied its tourist potential. There are many opportunities in a specialized reserve, where a modern visit-center and Museum which meets international standards are to be created. In order to create all the facilities for visitors, detailed information about the scientific research carried out in the reverse and its history will be provided. A line of special Souvenirs related to Djeyran will be presented together with the branded stores. Cafe activities will also be organized so that people who visit the reserve can eat as well. In order to make it more convenient for foreign and local tourists, the reserve will be equipped with the necessary equipment: two cars and two ATVs, live cameras, as well as photo traps for tourists who like to take photos," - Aziz Abdukhakimov said.

Also, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, it is planned to create several observation towers and a special route along them on the territory of the reserve. This will allowed to watch the animals in the reserve all day long. In addition, a special website will be created to promote the reserve as a tourist destination, where virtual and 3D tours will be organized.

Naturally, many people will be interested in the introduction of a system for naming rare animals born in the ecotourism zone through online voting on the Internet. "It should be noted that a special program is currently being developed to organize excursions for schoolchildren, students of academic colleges and lyceums and students of higher educational institutions in all regions to the "Djeyran" reserve in the Bukhara region. Based on this program, scheduled visits of pupils and students will be conducted. At the same time, special tours will be developed at low prices for representatives of mahallas and labor communities in Bukhara and other regions", - added Deputy Prime Minister.

In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister invited everyone to visit the "Jeyran" reverse and get acquainted with the life of rare animals. It is also important to note that as a result of all the above, the "Djeyran" eco tourism center will be able to receive about 20,000 tourists a year.

For information: The Djeyran Nature reserve was established in 1977 and is located in the South-West of the Kyzylkum desert, 42 km from Bukhara. The area is 16.5 thousand Hectares. Its activities are aimed at the breeding of rare and endangered species of gazelles. There are other species of animals and plants in the reserve, including those listed in the red book of Uzbekistan and the International red book.
