Senate’s plenary session kicks off

The second plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan has begun its work.
The event, which is chaired by the Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva, is attended by senators, heads of ministries, agencies and organizations, competent persons and representatives of the media.
There are 17 issues to be considered on the agenda of the session. Nine of the issues under consideration are laws, including the laws “On citizenship of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On registration of the population”, “On metrology”, and “On international commercial arbitration”. Information from the ministries of internal and foreign affairs will be heard, other issues within the competence of the Senate will be considered.
