Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan Gayrat Fazilov attended business workshop in Nagoya, organized by the diplomatic mission jointly with Rotary Club Nagoya, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The event was attended by representatives of the leadership of Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya city, Japanese companies operating in this region and economic structures.
Participants were informed about Uzbekistan's economic and investment potential, current economic development, measures taken by the government to modernize economic sectors, improve business climate, support entrepreneurship and reduce tax burden on business community.
Mayor of the city of Nagoya Takashi Kawamura highly appreciated talks held during the high-level visit to Japan and informed about the planned measures by the City Hall within the framework of implementation of the Partnership Agreement with Tashkent.
The need for further intensifying cooperation, especially in economy, trade, attracting Japanese investment and technology for implementation of specific mutually beneficial projects in Uzbekistan, was noted at the event.
An agreement was reached on further joint study of the issue of possible organization of elevator production in Uzbekistan, attracting companies operating in agriculture to the market of Uzbekistan, as well as organizing a visit of Nagoya business community delegation to Uzbekistan.
