Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council Dr. Ömer Kocaman.
At the invitation of the Central Election Commission, the Council’s experts will observe the preparation and conduction of parliamentary elections.
It was noted that the election of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and regional, district and city Councils of people’s deputies are held in the context of expanding the process of democratization of society.
The national electoral legislation has been radically updated, the socio-political activity of citizens is increasing, the role of political parties and civil society institutions is being strengthened, conditions are being created for open and transparent elections.
