On October 15 this year, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ruslanbek Davletov met with a member of the Court of Appeal of England and Wales, Lord Justice of Appeal Peter Gross.

The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in implementation of judicial reforms in Uzbekistan.

Ruslanbek Davletov informed Peter Gross about the main tasks and functions of the ministry, reforms in the judicial sphere, as well as the role of the ministry in their implementation.

In turn, Peter Gross, praising the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan on ensuring the rule of law, expressed his readiness to support the Uzbek side in implementing new initiatives in this area.

The parties also outlined areas of cooperation and expressed a desire to develop further cooperation in improving criminal and commercial law.
