Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan hosted an Investment and Business Forum. It was attended by more than 500 participants including Chairmen of the Chambers of Commerce of Member States of the Turkic Council, government officials, entrepreneurs and businesspeople from Turkic Council countries.
It should be noted that this forum is aimed at creating a platform for strengthening business relations between the business circles of Turkic world, as well as discussing the prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkic-speaking countries in entrepreneurship, trade, investment and tourism.
Participants were informed about large-scale economic reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, measures taken to liberalize the economy and currency market, improve the business environment, support business, protect the rights and legitimate interests of small business and private entrepreneurship, increase the investment attractiveness of the country's economy, as well as conditions for foreign investors in existing and newly created FEZs.
At the B2B meetings, the parties discussed priority areas of cooperation, primarily in trade-economic and investment spheres, in particular the production of construction materials, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, food, oil and gas, chemical, automotive industry, textiles, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, tourism and ICT.
The delegation also visited Crafers and Artel enterprises, as well as Yakkasaroy small industrial zone.
