President of Uzbekistan speaks with the First President of Kazakhstan over the phone

On July 6, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The President of Uzbekistan heartily congratulated the First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, wellbeing and success in tireless activity in the name of prosperity of fraternal Kazakhstan.
The key role of Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev in establishment of Kazakhstan statehood, strengthening the sovereignty and independence of the country in the most difficult historical period was emphasized.
It was noted that during the years of leadership of Elbasy in Kazakhstan, peace and harmony were ensured, great progress was achieved in socio-economic development, and the country’s authority in the international arena significantly strengthened.
The leaders exchanged views on current issues of the bilateral agenda, as well as international and regional politics.
Important attention was paid to full-scale implementation of agreements at the highest level, primarily in trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, and other priority areas.
The parties reaffirmed a strong commitment to further strengthening Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership.
