SAS representatives share experience
2019-04-17 | Society
Tashkent hosted a workshop on “Risk-based approach to the control and supervisory activities of Uzbekistan”.
The event was attended by representatives of control and supervisory authorities of the country, as well as experts from Russia and Kazakhstan.
The workshop participants considered issues of risk-based approach and its application, implementation of a risk management system, identification of suspicious schemes and counteraction to fraud. An example was given of applying a risk-based approach in Belgium, where, as a result of identifying schemes for illegal reimbursement of export VAT based on data from the tax inspectorate and a unified system for monitoring the payment of VAT within the EU, the loss from VAT fraud was reduced by 98 percent.
The SAS analytical system for risk management, detection and visualization of illegal schemes, detection of suspicious tenders and procurement was also demonstrated.
SAS representatives are not the first time in Uzbekistan to share experience. In addition, the events held are not only an opportunity to make new useful contacts, but also directly learn from experts about the latest trends in analytics.
