Uzbekistan masters telemedicine

A number of telemedicine sessions in the regions of the country are organized by the National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the leadership of the Chairman Rovshan Izamov and partners from India.
Online diagnostics was carried out on medical equipment manufactured by Watch Witz Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (India) in Jizzakh with participation of the khokim of Jizzakh region Ergash Soliyev and in Termez with participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov.
After examining several patients, the results were sent online to specialists in India who diagnosed and prescribed treatment.
As this first experience has shown, the application of telemedicine with involvement of professionals allows physicians to examine and treat more patients. Patients who participated in these sessions respond positively to such an examination.
Chairman of the National Chamber of Innovative Health Rovshan Izamov noted that online telediagnostics will allow the citizens of Uzbekistan, without leaving the country, to receive necessary advice from the best foreign experts. This will save time, money and will not burden those in need of treatment trip.
Development of telemedicine in Uzbekistan will contribute to promotion of medical tourism, attracting citizens of neighboring countries.
Cooperation of the National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan in telemedicine with Indian specialists is based on the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation signed on March 5 and will help develop innovative technologies in Uzbekistan, share experience with leading foreign medical centers, universities, conduct joint training and practical workshops.
It is planned to open a training center for telemedicine at the National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan using the equipment of WTPL and create Telemedicine Centers throughout Uzbekistan.
