On March 5, within the framework of the official visit of Uzbekistan delegation in connection with the meeting of Uzbekistan – Hungary Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade S.Umurzakov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó.
Views were exchanged on prospects for bilateral cooperation, expanding the investment partnership and increasing trade between the two countries.
Péter Szijjártó expressed hope for further rapprochement between Hungary and Uzbekistan, which will undoubtedly have a positive effect on development of both countries by strengthening the economic and socio-cultural partnership.
Uzbekistan – Hungary business forum on trade and economic cooperation was held with participation of heads of industry agencies and ministries. Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Utkir Butayev also attended the forum.
From the Hungarian side, the event was attended by business people in agro-industrial sector, animal husbandry, construction and engineering, energy, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, information and communication technologies and tourism.
As reported by the Press Service of Uzbekistan CCI, following the forum, a number of documents were signed between Hungarian entrepreneurs and representatives of industry agencies and ministries of Uzbekistan, defining the scope and timing of cooperation between the two parties within the framework of specific projects implementation.
