The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with members of the delegation led by Julian Schuster, Senior Vice President of Webster University of the United States.
During the negotiations, issues of opening a Webster University branch in Tashkent and arranging admission of students from 2019/2020 academic year were discussed.
The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan established cooperation with this university on September 16, 2017. In 2018, the first U.S. educational project in Central Asia – the Webster University’s 1-year Master Program was launched at the initiative of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education at Uzbekistan State World Languages University.
In accordance with the agreement signed in July 2018 with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Webster University’s branch will start operating in Uzbekistan this year. From March 2019, training specialists in project management will be organized at Tashkent State University of Economics and Tashkent University of Information Technologies.
