Acting Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan met with managers of German Travel Association within the framework of the business forum on January 14.

At the meeting, organization of the Destination Forum, which will include a presentation of tourism potential of Uzbekistan in Germany, as well as B2B meetings with German tour operators, which will be attended by up to 100 people, were discussed. In addition, the organizers are studying possible tours to the country they represent. Collected information is widely covered by the mass media, and is sent to tour operators for accounting in their work, on the basis of which tour packages for German tourists are formed. It should be noted that the German Travel Association includes more than 4 thousand participants.

The State Committee for Tourism Development is considering the possibility of implementing a similar project, which can be implemented in 2019.

As reported by the Press Service of the State Committee for Tourism Development, the project has a high potential. It should be noted that in 2018 the flow of tourists from Germany increased 2.5 times and exceeded 18 thousand tourists.
