Direct investments of the Korean side in the project will amount to 80 million USD.

According to the Chairman of the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rovshan Izamov, the success of this project that is aimed at innovative development of healthcare will also become a signal for action for a number of foreign investors who are interested in projects in this sphere. This means that innovative medical clusters that operate at the level of international standards may appear in other regions of Uzbekistan. The center in Namangan will certainly become regional for Fergana valley.

The Korean side plans to train specialists for working in a medical clinic. It is planned that the selected local physicians will be sent to the Republic of Korea for internships, in particular, to the clinic of Chonnam University. Later, partial training in Korean clinics can also be provided for students of medical educational institution of the cluster, who at the end will receive an international diploma.

According to the National Chamber of Innovation Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan, until the end of 2020, the National Chamber will establish a system for registering physicians and pharmacists engaged in professional activities in the country, and from January 1, 2021, doctors and pharmacists who have not been registered and not licensed in the National Chamber will not be allowed to conduct medical activities.
