On November 30, Tashkent will host Uzbekistan – South Korea workshop on “Uzbekistan – South Korea: vision of the future”. 

The event is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Asia-Pacific Research Center of Hanyang University of the Republic of Korea. This project is initiated by the Committee on Northern Economic Cooperation under the President of the Republic of Korea.

The event is aimed at discussing the current state and prospects of development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and South Korea.

The workshop will be attended by heads and experts of leading Uzbekistan and South Korea research centers, heads of companies and organizations of South Korea accredited in Uzbekistan, representatives of state and public organizations.

At the event, participants will discuss measures for strengthening mutual political trust, priorities and prospects of Uzbekistan – South Korea cooperation in the sphere of economy, trade and investment, cooperation in transport-communication, tourism, scientific-educational spheres. Special attention will be paid to discussion of the plan of Uzbekistan – South Korea cooperation in the sphere of industrial and agricultural development, energy cooperation, as well as, bilateral interaction in logistics and infrastructure.

Following the event, a joint research report will be prepared with practical proposals for strengthening Uzbekistan – South Korea multifaceted cooperation.
