ITFC Chief Executive Officer visits Uzbekistan

The Minister for Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojayev received the Chief Executive Officer of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) Hani Salem Sonbol.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on development of cooperation in the sphere of Islamic finance.
It was noted that ITFC is interested in expanding cooperation with financial organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
J.Khojayev emphasized that the Republic of Uzbekistan has sufficient export potential in the sphere of building materials, textiles and agricultural products. Taking into account the main tasks of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, the organization could provide financial services for the export of these products to the countries of near and far abroad.
As reported by the Press Service of the Ministry for Foreign Trade, following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop cooperation and expressed mutual appreciation for the conversation and valuable exchange of views.
