Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan: cooperation in digital technologies

On October 25, Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan business forum in the sphere of digital technologies was held at Inha University in Tashkent.

The event was attended by representatives of ministries and agencies, companies, scientific-research centers of both countries specializing in the spheres of information technologies and telecommunications, banking and finance, trade, economics, intellectual property, education, healthcare, software developers, leading experts.
 
During the forum, the guests were provided with information on the work being carried out for implementation of the Electronic Government system and further improvement of public administration, development of the ICT sphere, strengthening international cooperation in this area. Specialists from Kazakhstan conducted presentations on the use of modern information and communication technologies in the life of the state and society, development of technologies and infrastructure, experience in training and raising the level of skills of specialists in the sphere.
 
– Today, the use of modern information and communication technologies is becoming global, – says Yerlan Akhmetov, director of trade at Samgau holding company (Kazakhstan). – In this forum we are participating with our own developments for the system of pre-school education, the organization of the centers’ activities on analyzing situations in smart cities and introducing online cash registers to the sphere of trade. During the event, we had the opportunity to exchange experience with Uzbekistan specialists, held negotiations on implementation of know-how.
 
A number of contracts and memorandums aimed at widespread introduction of information technologies, improving the quality of interactive public services provided to the population and business entities, training qualified personnel, bringing together software developers were signed at the forum.
