New facets of cooperation

Many conferences, forums and events are held within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan – Russia educational forum is of great importance among them.

This forum, organized for the first time, united responsible employees of the higher education system, spheres of science, innovation technologies, scientists, professors, pedagogical community, and young researchers of the two countries.

During the forum on “New personnel for the new economy”, it was noted that this major event is important in the educational life of Russia and Uzbekistan.
 
As the Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Vladimir Chernov noted, over the past quarter century, relations have been established between the two countries in political and strategic sphere on the basis of mutually beneficial, reliable cooperation. At the same time, along with signing mutual agreements, their implementation is also important. This is directly related to strengthening mutual dialogue.
 
A number of documents on establishment of joint faculties in Uzbekistan, branches of leading universities of Russia, implementation of joint projects, student exchanges, teachers’ training, holding master classes and other joint events were signed at the forum between higher education institutions of the two countries.
 
During panel sessions held within the framework of the educational forum, participants discussed current issues on “Russian language as a factor of competitiveness in scientific-educational sphere”, “Technical education in the priority system of Uzbekistan – Russia cooperation”, “Forms and mechanisms for training personnel for important areas of the economy”, “Science and innovation in higher education”.
 
Following the forum, a final resolution was adopted on further expanding and strengthening relations of mutual cooperation in the higher education systems of Uzbekistan and Russia.
