Asian Games 2018 continue in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.

On weightlifting among the athletes of the weight category up to 105 kilograms, Ruslan Nurudinov from Uzbekistan rose to the top of the podium.

Ruslan in a clean and jerk lifted 191 kilograms, and in a snatch – 230 kilograms. Thus, the weightlifter with a total of 421 kilograms won a gold medal in the contest. At the same time, R.Nurudinov has updated the record of Asian Games.

Omadoy Otakuziyeva, who defended the honor of Uzbekistan in weightlifting championships among girls of the weight category up to 75 kilograms, won a silver medal with the result of 237 kilograms.

At the Asian Games, bronze medals were awarded to representatives from Uzbekistan Abdumalik Salimov (penchak silat), Sadriddin Saymatov, Barno Mirzayeva (karate), Sukhrob Khujayev (athletics).

Thus, Uzbekistan national team as of August 26 takes the 10th place with 28 medals in the team event – 6 gold, 11 silver, 11 bronze medals.
