Uzbekistan journalists visited Tajikistan

Friendship of people of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan is strengthening. Bilateral cooperation is consistently developing in all areas, including in cultural and humanitarian sphere.

A vivid confirmation of this became a study tour to Tajikistan, organized for Uzbekistan journalists.
 
Uzbekistan journalists first got acquainted with activities of newspapers “Haqiqati Sughd”, “Sogdiyskaya Pravda” and “Sughd haqiqati” at the Palace of Press of the city of Khujand, Sughd region.
 
A roundtable discussion was held with creative intelligentsia of the region. At the event, participants exchanged views on cooperation in cultural and humanitarian sphere.
 
The next point was the palace “Arbob” in Bobojon-Gafur district. This complex has a particularly important value for Tajikistan people. The building of the National Teahouse, erected in 2012 at the initiative of the President of Tajikistan, also made a great impression.
 
During the acquaintance with the free economic zone “Sughd”, information was presented on enterprises operating here, created incentives for entrepreneurs.
 
Journalists became very interested in Sughd region’s history museum, which has 15 thousand exhibits concerning the history of Tajikistan people – from ancient times to the recent past of Tajikistan.
 
In the park named after Kamol Khujandi, a fair of Tajik national handicraft products was held.
 
On the second day of the trip journalists of Uzbekistan visited the city of Istaravshan.
 
Guests were received by the chairman of the city Bahrom Inoyatzoda. After the meeting, which took place in a friendly and sincere atmosphere, an exhibition of handicrafts took place. Journalists became acquainted with unique products of embroidery, carpet making, knife-making, carving and other crafts.
