As reported by the Press Service of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the delegation of Uzbekistan visits the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

During the official meeting between the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an Agreement on cooperation in the field of banking supervision was signed, which will create a legal basis for banks to enter banking market of the parties and will contribute to strengthening bilateral banking cooperation. 

According to the Agreement, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in accordance with national legislation will cooperate in exchange of information on significant innovations and changes that affect banking sector of the two countries, as well as on issues of normative-legal regulation, control and supervision, to the extent which is permitted by the national legislation. 

The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan positively assessed the reached agreement and expressed hope that the document will contribute to development and strengthening the banking and financial sector of the two leading economies of Central Asia.
