On June 26 and 27, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov met with representatives of jewelry companies AVID (Korea) and Olef Creations Inc. (USA), where further plans for cooperation in jewelry production were discussed. 

During their stay in Tashkent, investors became acquainted with the created favorable conditions for development of jewelry production in Uzbekistan. So on the part of the Consortium of jewelry companies headed by Olef Creations Inc., it is planned to create jewelry production. This was stated at the meeting on June 26. 

At present, this consortium established a foreign enterprise in Uzbekistan to begin preparatory work on the project and study the market. 

The sides discussed the issue of introducing an international financing scheme based on gold leasing in the jewelry industry and agreed to attract consultative assistance from international financial institutions. 

According to the Ministry, at the meeting, held on June 27 with jewelry company AVID, the sides agreed to create an industrial zone for production and training of jewelry industry specialists through the establishment of a joint venture with a Korean company.
