2018-06-26 | Society

On June 25, a meeting with representatives of the Korean delegation led by the President of the National Human Resources Development Institute Mr. Dong-ho Oh was held at the Development Strategy Center. During the conversation, issues of development of bilateral cooperation and deepening partnership between the agencies of the two countries were discussed.

As Dong-ho Oh noted, the objectives of the Action Strategy on five priority areas of development of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, in the field of improving the system of state and public construction, open huge opportunities for reforming the policy of training personnel in the country.

The sides noted the importance of developing multilateral cooperation between the two countries in implementation of know-how and new technologies in the modern system of civil service personnel management. Intensification of cooperation in these areas, according to the parties, will facilitate the expansion of contacts between representatives of concerned agencies of the two countries.

In addition, experts of the Korean Institute expressed interest in further strengthening partnership with the Development Strategy Center within the framework of a joint project between the National Human Resources Development Institute of the Republic of Korea and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. At the same time, Korean experts noted that in the course of the project, scheduled for 2017-2020, special training programs and manuals for local students of the Academy will be developed. The Academy of Public Administration is planning to visit the Institute located in Seoul.

Dong-ho Oh highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan government aimed at implementing comprehensive reforms in the country, building a pragmatic and constructive foreign policy. It was noted that the liberalization of foreign policy and further strengthening the institutions of democracy in Uzbekistan open new opportunities for expanding the agenda of bilateral relations, deepening further cooperation.

According to the Development Strategy Center, following the negotiations, the experts of the two countries noted the need to intensify cooperation and exchange knowledge on the state programs implemented in Uzbekistan within the framework of the Action Strategy on five priority areas of development of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.
