Meeting of the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkey in a narrow format has started

The ceremony of the official meeting of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan took place at Kuksaroy residence.

A guard of honor was lined up in honor of the honored guest. Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan rose to the podium. National anthems of Uzbekistan and Turkey have sounded. The Presidents passed the guard of honor. 

The meeting of the heads of the two states began in a narrow format. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his visit to Uzbekistan. 

Ways of further strengthening multifaceted cooperation, consolidating and developing new promising trends in bilateral relations will be discussed at the meeting. Special attention will be paid to regional and international agenda, including issues of countering global and regional challenges and threats. 

As previously reported, within the framework of the state visit, the President of Turkey will address the joint session of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

The leaders of the two countries will also take part in a joint business forum of heads of leading banks and companies of Uzbekistan and Turkey. 

Following the results of Uzbekistan – Turkey summit, the Presidents will sign a Joint Statement on the current state of bilateral relations and their dynamic development. 

Interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents in various spheres, as well as a number of investment agreements are expected to be signed within the framework of the visit. 

During the visit, delegation of Turkey will also visit Bukhara.
