President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited Makhtumkuli street in Tashkent. 

On the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, one of the streets of Tashkent was named in honor of the great Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli. A shady alley was created here, the adjacent territory was landscaped, a monument in honor of Makhtumkuli was erected.

Heads of state laid flowers to this monument.

The alley, which acquired the appearance of a single ensemble, made a great impression on Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. He expressed gratitude to the head of Uzbekistan for the respect shown to the Turkmen people, literature and culture.
