Navoi region is carrying out significant work on development of tourism.

Nurata district has a great tourist potential. The petroglyphs of V-VI centuries in the district village of Sentob, the ruins of ancient buildings in the mountains, the inscriptions of the XI-XVIII centuries, the picturesque lake of Fozilomon, the curative waters of Akko spring are of great interest.

Tourists like riding horses and camels on the mountainous terrain, master classes in cooking national dishes. Tourists come to the recreation area, mainly, to visit the Sarmishsay reserve museum. 

Journalists from France, Indonesia and representatives of local mass media participated in the opening ceremony of the center and the tourist season. During the event, the national dish sumalak was prepared.
