On March 26, the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. 

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov met the distinguished guest at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov. 

After a short conversation, the delegation of Afghanistan left for the residence allocated for them. 

As previously reported, on March 27, the heads of the two states will take part and deliver speeches at the International Conference on Afghanistan “Peace process, security cooperation and regional collaboration”.

The program of the visit also includes bilateral negotiations between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
