President visits youth center in Bukhara

Youth under 30 make up 48 percent of the population of Bukhara region. A significant work is carried out on educating them as healthy and spiritually developed personalities, realization of their talent and potential.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the second day of his visit to Bukhara region got acquainted with the activity of the Youth Center in Bukhara, watched the process of classes in the center's groups.
Last year the old building of the former Palace of Culture was thoroughly renovated and turned into a Youth Center. Bukhara Regional Council of the Union of Youth of Uzbekistan operates in a three-storey modern building. The conference hall for 800 seats and a cinema hall for 280 seats are equipped in accordance with modern requirements, convenient for holding mass cultural events, will contribute to increasing the social activity of youth.
The Center has more than 20 groups in English and Russian, chess and checkers, table tennis, acting skills, preparing girls for family life, youth tourism, preschool, inclusive education, fine arts, sewing and other areas.
A library with 4 thousand books is always full of readers.
There are Bukhara State University, College of Arts and a number of other educational institutions next to the Youth Center. Groups and library of the Youth Center have created great convenience for students of these educational institutions.
The Head of the state was informed about the new groups to be organized this year, promising projects that are being implemented in the Youth Center.
– A book brings up the best human dignity. If we want our youth to become educated and highly spiritual, we must educate them in the spirit of love for the book, teach various professions, – said the President of Uzbekistan.
