“Uzbektelecom” JSC implemented a number of projects last year on expanding the capacity of existing and building new border joints with operators of neighboring countries in order to meet the growing needs of residents of Uzbekistan in broadband access to the Internet. 

As reported on the official website of “Uzbektelecom” JSC, since the beginning of 2017 the speed of organized channels of access to the Internet has doubled as a result of taken measures. “Uzbektelecom” company decided to set the price at a rate of 244 958 sums for 1 Mbit/s from September 2017 for providers and operators in order to prevent a sharp rise in prices for access to the Internet. Thus, the national telecom operator not only increased the volume of services in 2017, but also restrained the price growth. 

To date, the cost of access to the Internet for providers has decreased from 91 to 30 US dollars for 1 Mbit/s. At the same time, “Uzbektelecom” JSC covered all costs.
