The parliamentary delegation of Saudi Arabia, led by the deputy chairman of the committee of Saudi Arabia–Uzbekistan interparliamentary friendship Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Hamidi, held a number of meetings.

During the conversation in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan it was noted that Uzbekistan attaches special importance to the development of mutually beneficial relations with Saudi Arabia in various spheres, including parliamentarism. It was emphasized that the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on May 21 this year to Saudi Arabia opened new opportunities for deepening the dialogue between our countries. 

At the meeting in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, views were exchanged on the current state of inter-parliamentary relations and their strengthening, in particular, on the prospects of development of economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. 

The sides expressed confidence that the visit of the parliamentary delegation of Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan will serve to deepen cooperation between the legislative bodies of our countries. 

Members of the parliamentary delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held a meeting with the leadership of the Muslims Board of Uzbekistan, the Center for Islamic Civilization and Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies. 

Guests also visited the Khazrati Imam complex.
