The Samarqand regional informational-library centre has created mobile libraries at bus and tram stops in the city of Samarqand.

With the help of these virtual libraries, passengers can download the electronic versions of books they love, through QR codes, to their smartphones free of charge. 

“Now more than 200 best books of national and world literature are available electronically at these mobile libraries,” says U.Tulkinov, category one librarian of the regional informational-library centre. 

“The creation of this possibility at bus and tram stops is of important significance to the propagation of reading culture among the population, first of all young people,” says A.Pardayev, a teacher of Samarqand’s state university.
