On May 2, 2018, a delegation of the Republic of Korea led by the Chairman of the Committee on Northern Economic Cooperation, Song Young-gil, arrives in Uzbekistan.

On the period of April 28 - May 3, 2018 UNESCO Office in Tashkent in cooperation with other UN agencies, the National Association of Electronic Mass Media (NAEMM) and other media partners hold  a series of activities/events on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day.

On April 17, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Kang Kyung-wha, will arrive in Tashkent. This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On April 14-19, 2018, a delegation of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia led by the Speaker Inara Murniece will visit Uzbekistan.

Delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov will participate in the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which will be held on April 6, 2018 in Minsk.

On April 4-6, a specialized international food industry exhibition WorldFood Uzbekistan 2018 will be held in the National Exhibition Complex “Uzexpocenter”. 

The most ancient national holiday Navruz (in translation with Persian Navruz designates "new day") which is celebrated on March, 21st, is considered the beginning of new year.

In Uzbekistan this holiday is celebrated as a holiday of love, kindness and beauty, as well as is known as "Mothers' day".

This holiday in independent Uzbekistan is celebrated in honor of creation of own Armed forces. The parliament of the country on 14th January, 1992 has made a decision on transition of all parts and connections, military educational institutions and other military formations deployed in territory of the country, under jurisdiction of the Republic of Uzbekistan. So the beginning was necessary to creation of own Armed forces. On 29th December, 1993 January 14th has been declared by Day of defenders of the Native land.

The monument "Vatanga qasamyod" plays an important role in the education of youth in the spirit of love for their native country, loyalty, bravery and courage. After all, defending the motherland as the apple of an eye is a sacred and honorable duty of every citizen of our country.
